Manjima Dutta is a dynamic dance performer, classical dance exponent & choreographer. She has learnt the intricacies of dancing during her Bharatanatyam Training.

Since the inception of my dance journey in 1996 at the tender age of 4, I embarked on a dedicated 13-year training odyssey in Bharatanatyam, immersing myself in the rich traditions of this classical dance form. Following this, I delved into the enchanting world of Contemporary Lyrical Jazz, dedicating five years to perfecting its expressive and modern movements. My passion for dance led me to explore the vibrant realms of folk dancing for another five years, where I embraced the diverse cultural tapestry woven into each step.

In my relentless pursuit of artistic excellence, I ventured into the dynamic domains of Hip Hop, Free style, and Bollywood, investing three years to master the rhythm and flair of these energetic dance styles. With over two decades of unwavering dedication, I have honed my skills, creating captivating dance performances that have become a testament to my commitment and artistry.

My journey extends beyond personal growth, with notable achievements in prestigious inter-state dance competitions. The stages of Assam, Nagpur, and Coimbatore witnessed my artistry, earning accolades in the year 2005 and subsequent years. As a solo artist, I have graced diverse occasions, from school events to cultural gatherings, inaugural ceremonies to Airforce events, weaving a mesmerizing tapestry of movement and emotion.

Now, with more than 25 years of practice and performance, I stand as a seasoned dance artist, having brought the magic of dance to over 150 live stage presentations. Each step, a testament to my love for the art and the vibrant stories it has allowed me to tell on the grand canvas of life.

VOYAGE INTO THE STAGE

Through my work on stage, I am aiming to unlock the door into the discovery of visual presentation of knowledge. Exploring the intimacy, craft of drama, grace and vulnerability, with true emotions and ideas to the audience.

Each dance presentation is not just an image of a dancer, but a moment and relationship captured in the embodiment of the audience in time to be remembered indelibly.
